The Parthenon is on top of the Acropolis. It is the most popular tourist attraction. The construction started in 447 BC and it was completed in 432 BC. The reason The Parthenon was built to Athena. The Athena statue was built out of ivory, silver, and gold. It has served as a fortress, church, mosque, and a power magazine. The Parthenon is 2,464 years old and its standing to this day. At least 7.2 million people visit it every year.<br><br>2. Temple of Erechtheum is an ancient Greek temples. It lays on the North side of the Acropolis of Athens.the temple was built in 421 and finished in 407 BC. It is dedicated to the Greek hero Erichthonius. The most famous part of the temples is for its distinctive porch which is supported by 6 female figures known as the Caryatids. <br><br>3. Temple of Hephaestus is the best- preserved Greek temple. It is located 500 meters northwest of the famous Acropolis. The Temple was built in the 5th century ( 450 BC ) and finished in 415 BC. It was dedicated to Hephaestus, the god of metal working. Poseidon was a Roman god. He was the god of the sea and other waters. His symbol(s) are Trident, fish, dolphin, horse, and bull. Since Poseidon is a roman god he had roman name and it was Neptune. Poseidon was also one of the Twelve Tables in ancient Greek religion and myth. In Plato's timaeus and critics, the island of Atlantis was Poseidon's domain. The origins of the name Poseidon are unclear One theory breaks it down into an element meaning husband or lord.<br><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poseidon">https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poseidon</a><br>----------------------------------<br>2. Zues is the sky and thunder god. His father was Cronus and his mother was Rhea, he was the youngest one. Zues also had a roman name an it was Jupiter. Zues' symbols are the tunderbolt, eagle, bull, and oak. Zues had 6 sibling and they are Hestia goddess of hearth, Hades god of the underword, Hera the goddess of Marriage and birth, Poseidon the god of the sea, Demeter the goddess of harvest ( earth ), and Chiron was the widest and justest of all the centaurs.<br><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zeus">https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zeus</a><br>----------------------------------<br>3. Athena is the goddess of wisdom, handicraft, and warfare. Her symbols are Owls, olive trees, snakes, Aegis, armour, helmets, spears, and Gorgoneion. She had many siblings and they are Aeacus, Angelos,Aphrodite, Apollo, Ares, Artemis, Dionysus, Eileithyia, Enyo, Eris, Ersa, Hebe, Hephaestus, Heracles, Hermes, Minos, Pandia, and many more. Athena was named after Athens. Soon came the Parthenon!
