Sara Gallego

What do you think about the impact of AI and automation on Industry?

I think it is good, I think there are many advantages because we can automate actions that are very repetitive or very heavy and that could affect human health, but I also think that in general technology in general has given us more freedom to travel and work at the same time so I think it is perfect. We need not be alarmed because we still have a lot to improve.

Do you think humanity will suffer an economic crisis due to AI in the future?

No, probably some jobs will become unnecessary. However, new jobs, careers, and approaches will be created. Still, if we want AI to become like a human it will take centuries because human ingenuity and creativity are unique and some things you cannot replace because art is not calculated, it is lived and expressed and AI needs to calculate everything.

What do you think could be an alternative to avoid a crisis in the future?

To start by calming down and not believing that it is going to be the end of the world because if something has been demonstrated in the history of human beings is that we can adapt and we can include technology in our lives in a way that helps us to facilitate jobs and allows us to enjoy our lives more. We can also implement strategies that allow us to train people, promote an education based on technology, establish certain limits of things that cannot be done, and remember that not everything can be done by a machine and that many things require sensitivity and delicacy.

The automation of some processes can affect the work of many people and those people would have to specialize in other things that are 'useful' in society.

2. It all depends on how we develop our relationship with AI, so this answer has an ending that we ourselves are writing as humanity now.

3.

Abril.

I don't think AI is bad per se, what is bad is how humans use it. I am not scared of AI and advance, I am scared of the bad uses that people can give it if rules aren't made. I think AI is a great tool for many industries and that is what is meant to be, a TOOL,not the replacement for those jobs, like calculators became to math. Ai art for example is useful to take references and inspiration, but it shouldn't be commercialized on it's own, it should work as REFERENCE for other artist who are just as capable. If we establish rules and limits for AI like this, then the amount of jobs affected are lower. I, as a writer am not afraid, since, AI doesn't have actual creativity nor feeling. It can't make deep characters or complex world building, also is way to sweet and innocent in my opinion (at least chat gpt is) and it can't write dark tragic stories without them being overly cliche. On the other hand is a great tool for writers to look for names, advice and such for their story and still use their own creativity and ideas. If AI writing ever became a thing, then, wouldn't that just give more value to human writing? and make it a more expensive, rare and valuable product, more "luxurious" let´s say, like actual content and art.

Even if AI kills a lot of jobs, it can't kill human passion. AI art existing doesn't mean that human art will die and you shouldn't give up. Perhaps, art made by humans will only become more recognize and valuable for this reason and become a huge luxury. Also, even if it kills jobs it can create new jobs that we don't even imagine, new chances, new hobbies and it can even improve humans life quality by "deleting" hard dangerous jobs for humans to do. Also, wouldn't that give more space and chances ffor artistic careers? What if instead of kiling art, it makes it a important job instead with great opportunities? everyone can use AI but only the greatest companies could afford a true quality artist and designer. AI could create a crisis, but we would recover and adapt as we humans always do.

I think the best way to avoid a crisis is to put limits and rules to AI. Either make it accesible and safe for everyone or make it a "luxury" or special tool you must pay for, and of course, safe. Instead of fighting and fearing AI, we must make it safe and ethical and adapt to it, give it a more specific use that will benefit everyone. We must accept evolution and change and we can't think this will lead to some dystopic future, the more we fight the more real that future will be. The best way is to take things calmly and wisely. AI isn't bad, what is bad is humans. We need laws against the bad use of AI and punishments to those who break them. If there was an economic crisis, then we would eventually get over it.

I don't think right now my career will be replaced by AI because the code AI generates currently is often very long, not very specific, and if you ask them to do a really big project, it might not work because they don't understand it. (In my experience)

I think that AI can replace industry processes because it is a very mechanized and repetitive process that could be done by a robot. Many people are not careful with their information and privacy and publish everything they do on social networks. In the street, in any situation, we are exposed to being recorded, either by people or by cameras that are installed anywhere. The government has all the information about each person, they know what they buy, what they sell, we are increasingly monitored.

Do you consider that privacy is important? Why? How can you get privacy?

Privacy is very important for each individual, it is a right that we all have, it gives us security and protection both as a person and the things we have.
