the Dawes act was an examples of assimilation because the Americans made the Indians turn from their culture and not celebrating theirs to just having one culture for them. In document B ir shows the Indians with their own culture and the way they dress. The second picture shows the Americans Americanizing them into changing everything they wear cutting their hair and not representing the way they dress anymore. This shows assimilation because the Indians are not allowed to represent their culture and only represent the american one and only one.

This is an act of trying to change their ways and not letting them be who they truly were.

It is clear that assimilation was happening because it shows the changes that were forced upon the natives. In Document A the photo is displayed of Someone with longer and rougher textured hair.
