Public life was very ordered and those with status were expected to set a high standard for those who had a low status

The theme of responsibility is explored deeply in the story and is set in many examples e.g when Hyde was trampling the girl, the two men at the scene Mr Utterson and Mr Enfeild, both with high status and privilege were expected to save the girl , gain justice by society

Religion was also a great part of Victorian society and this is also presented in the book. Examples of this is when Mr Utterson goes and tries to speak to Hyde, he gets scared at first and recites religious readings and the word God to ease his fear and this is repeated throughout the story by other characters as well when they display emotion

Examples of this are shown in live action films where they interpret story's of the past e.g fantasy and bring them to do good deeds to match with the research of humans which have grown over the years.
