CONFLICT - Hail storm destroys the crop field which was the only source of income and food.
CLIMAX - He writes a letter to God asking for 100 pesos but receives only 70.
FALLING ACTION - Rewrites a letter demanding the remaining amount and this time not through the post office.
RESOLUTION - The team that helped the farmer was shocked and terrified at the bad comment 'bunch of crooks'.
MESSAGE -  Faith in God will be rewarded through charity by unknown people.
TWISTED ENDING - The men who helped were blamed for theft.

The pleasant rain soon turned into a hailstorm. The hail rained for an hour on the house, the garden, the hillside, the cornfield, and on the whole valley. No leaf remained on the trees. The flowers were gone from the plants. The corn was totally destroyed. The field was white as if covered with salt. He requests the known people to give charity. Even at the end of the chapter when Lencho addresses the post office employees as a bunch of crooks, the postmaster is very passive.
