Earth's satellite is the moon, most people refer to all satellites as moons even tho "The Moon" is actually just the name Earths's satellite. Almost all of the planets in our solar system have different amounts of satellites with the exception of Mercury and Venus who both don't have any satellites. There are planets like Jupiter on the other hand has around 63 satellites and possibly more!

There are many different kinds of satellites in the solar system all of which have their own different aspects. For example the Galilean satellites are four satellites discovered by Galileo himself, they are considered some of the main moons.

Callisto is one of the Galilean satellites just as the other three satellites Callisto orbits around Jupiter. Some of the aspects of this satellites are, it is made up of 60% rock/iron and around 40% ice and possibly a little but of liquid water. It takes Callisto around 16.7 Earth days to orbit around Jupiter.

Io is another one of the Galilean moons, it is the fourth largest of all Jupiter's satellites. Some aspects of this Satellite are, Io is known for all of the active volcanoes that pretty much make up the land. those volcanoes are active thanks to Io bring stretched and squeezed during its orbit around Jupiter. Another aspect is that it is mostly made up of silicate rock surrounding a molten iron.

Europa is of course another one of the four galilean moons. Some aspects of this satellite are, Europa os the smallest of all the galilean moons and is made up of silicate rock and has a water/ice crust and probably an iron and nickel core. It take Europa around 3 1/2 Earth days to orbit Jupiter. The gravity on Europa is about just a little bit weaker then the one of Earths moon. It is thought that Europa has the surface of an ocean.
