I am fairly certain about the meaning behind this saying, since experience has confirmed that we should not concentrate all our efforts in a single plan, idea or even a person. What´s more, it would be wise to always have a range of options in mind, in case our first priority fails and need to quickly addapt to the new circunstances.

We are used to the customs, traditions, and way of being of the people in our country, but that doesn’t mean that our actions are better than the ones taken place in other countries. Therefore, we should always be respectful with the people and the places we visit and not impose our way of thinking an behaving on them.

To be strong in any sector/job/assignment you have to make sure that your weakest point is still strong. Your performance will be, almost all of the time, on account of your weakest point.
