I've had to correct people before especially my parents who are prone to believing bogus news on social media without even examining the facts. We still have a good relationship, and I merely tell them that the information they were aware of was false and that I told them the truth.

What I've discovered and thought about after playing these games is that they're meant to teach players about how social media works and how fake news spreads. The necessity of critical thinking abilities is stressed, as well as how quickly false information can spread online and how to spot it and counter it. Overall, playing these games can help players develop their media literacy and critical thinking abilities. They serve as a reminder that it is our duty to consume media in an ethical and educated manner and to actively work to stop the spread of false information online.
