Positive: can result in good discipline and good at following directions. Can result in good work ethic.
  Negative: Can lead to social incompetence and perfectionism in children. Child may believe they can never live up to unrealistic standards.

Authoritative:
  Positive: Results in social competence, good critical thinking skills, and good communication.
   Negative: this is considered the most effective and healthy type of parenting, with little to no negative implications attached.

Permissive:
     Positive: acceptance of child, can lead to increased self confidence
Negative: no boundaries or control and over-indulgent.
