It is interesting to see. I appreciate the idea of sourcing food locally and the focus on healthy eating. It is hard trying to establish both under the one establishment in this current situation. The speed and accuracy seems pleasing as well. Despite all the positive elements to the robots cooking there is also concern; the minimisation of staff within a kitchen means less jobs available for aspiring and current food and beverage staff. -Hassan Kurdi.

I find that Zume Pizza is an innovative organisation that carefully consider the needs and wants of the consumers: great food quality (michelin star chef), convenient (food done in a short period of time), and relatively low-cost (7$). Although the concept of ghost kitchen is becoming popular, it might cause future problems such as robotic interactions with customers resulting in customer dissatisfaction.
I do agree that robots can be used to improve guest experience as seen in SPYCE, a restaurant that collaborates with a Michelin star chef, which uses robotic woks that are ble to perform every cooking style and allows customers to customise their dishes through a touchpad. The whole cooking process takes 3 minutes and it minimises the need for human contact such as waiters, chefs, and other staff. Instead, the machine does all the cooking and only a staff is needed to garnish the dish at the end. Althought it is convenient, it results in less human interaction and customised experience, which can affect customer satisfaction. -Pov Ear.

Concept of cutting down timeframes to customers is amazing however one hopes that these restaurant keep hiring Front of House Staff to interact with customers and finish off the Service delivery with a human smile and someone the customer can talk to.
Also an owner should be able to spend more money on the staff and give extra benefits to retain staff.
I do find it interesting that robots can do remedial tasks which employees normally complain about.
Maintenance costs on robots could be high.
Lyndall

Whilst the aspect of the customer getting their meal in a much smaller timeframe and in addition customise their meal is a huge positive in the customer experience, some customers might prefer the friendly conversation and being cared for by a person. The restaurant will definitely benefit from less overheads and more dish output, but they might lose brand loyalty among customers as they might not feel 'at home' but feel as if they are just another customer.
The restaurant could be a mix of both robots and people , where robots do the work such as collecting dishes and cleaning when required , whilst the waiters and front office staff attend to guests.

depends on technology advancements

There is definitely merit to having robots within the hospitality industry as its clear they can improve on efficiency of service, take over labour intensive jobs and save on certain costs. Additionally, there is also the aspect of robots being an attraction to certain customers as this is still a relatively early market so it fascinates people, there are also some customers even preferring the no human interaction aspect.
However, many consumers expect certain human and friendly hospitable interaction when dinning out or even the concept of having food "cooked with love" which is obviously unattainable from technology.

To add a final comment, with the continual development of technology and AI it will be interesting to see how customer service will be affected in the future as products such as Siri and Alexa already have a way of interacting with us in a sort of human way.
Jasmin

I think service in the future will still be people-centric even with the addition of robotic advancements. I believe that humans will still want or need some human interaction in order to make a service experience. In this same idea, robots can enhance personalised interaction as the humans working in a robot restaurant will be the personality of the restaurant. By having the robots cook the food, the human staff working may have more time to talk to customers, and not be rushed with the pace of service.
I believe a good middle-ground future will have some fully automated restaurants, some will still have human workers, and some will be a mix of robots and human staff - it would then be up to the customer as to what they would like their service experience to be. - Sarah B
