The song was Indie rap, the opening verses marked with Kendrick altered voice mimicking him by being his conscience talking to him.There are many layers in this song with the echoes of words, to the edgy slow rock music, to the dark staccato beat. Country music is my least favorite genre it citified sound is just not my cup of tea in music. Its old familiar sounds ties back to old traditional music. But the music Country music worked because it was very distinctive and nationally marketable. It was one of the greatest social developments in America with technology because it was an umbrella for different genres. Still at this moment my position still stands the same on the genre. The vibes of the songs are too soft and laid back with a western beat.
