All American Boys is about two kids from two different lives and their perspectives In racism. Quinn is a white kid that comes from a dad who died fighting for their country. Rashad comes from a black family and a dad who served in the military and was a cop. Both face many challenges when Rashad was beat up by a cop. Quinn tries to overcome his fear or losing his friend, who is the cops brother. Quinn stands up for what he believes and tries to make a change on racism, by going to the march. "Rashad is absent again today," (165). This powerful phrase was drawn at their school to support Rashad. I really like this book. This book shows two different perspectives which makes it really interesting to read. As a reader people would like to know peoples perspectives. This book can change peoples minds, really power book.
