Today I would like to share about Adab in Seeking Knowledge. Adab means having good manners, respect, and the right intention when learning. It is not only about our behavior on the outside, but also about having humility, kindness, and sincerity in our hearts. The Prophet ﷺ said: “The most beloved of you to me and the closest to me on the Day of Judgment are those who are best in character” (Tirmidhi). This shows that adab is part of our iman and a reflection of Islam itself.

As students, we must practice adab by starting with a sincere intention and asking Allah, “My Lord, increase me in knowledge” (Taha 20:114). We should respect our teachers, listen carefully, avoid interrupting, and ask questions politely. At the same time, we must avoid sins because they darken the heart and prevent us from gaining true knowledge. The Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever follows a path in pursuit of knowledge, Allah will make easy for him a path to Paradise”(Muslim).

In conclusion, seeking knowledge with adab brings blessings, strengthens our character, and brings us closer to Allah. May Allah grant us beneficial knowledge and make us students with good adab.

As Muslims, we should always make the Qur’an our main guide in life. Allah reminds us: “Ramadan is the month in which the Qur’an was revealed as a guide for humanity, with clear proofs of guidance and the standard to distinguish between right and wrong” (Al-Baqarah 2:185). To achieve this, we must commit to reading the Qur’an daily, reflect on its meaning, respect its teachings, and read its translation to understand it better. The Prophet ﷺ said: “The best among you are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it” (Bukhari). This shows that the Qur’an is not only for recitation but also to be practiced and shared with others.

In conclusion, the Qur’an is our light and our guide. May Allah make us people who love the Qur’an, live by its teachings, and find success through it in this world and the hereafter.

The Hadith Jibril reminds us of the importance of understanding the foundations of our faith. Through this hadith, we are taught the essentials of Islam – the Five Pillars, the Six Articles of Faith, and the concept of Ihsan. It serves as a guide not only for belief but also for practice, helping Muslims to live with purpose and devotion.
