For example, I introduce digital collaboration through shared online documents as a way of motivating students to work together where traditional face-to-face interactions have failed in the past. Most students are much more willing/ready/excited to use technology over pencil and paper (regardless of how large or small the task is). As a teacher in a flipped classroom, technology is what drives the science assignments. Now that the new NGSS standards are out, our district still has not adopted a book, so everything we do is teacher created.  Google classroom houses the assignments, and google drive and other google apps are used to complete and turn in most assignments.
