Her parents are Otto and Edith Frank.  For the first 5 years of her life, Anne lived with her parents and older sister, Margot, in an apartment on the outskirts of Frankfurt.Otto Frank fled to Amsterdam in the Netherlands, where he had business connections. The rest of the Frank family soon followed During the first half of July, Anne and her family hid in an apartment that would eventually hide four Dutch Jews as well—Hermann, Auguste, and Peter van Pels, and Fritz Pfeffer.While in hiding, Anne kept a diary in which she recorded her fears, hopes, and experiences.Her documentations of this time is now published in The Diary of a Young Girl.Anne.The Franks and four Dutch Jews who were hiding with them were discovered by authorities on August 4, 1944.The only member of the Frank family who survived the Holocaust was Anne’s father, Otto, who later worked diligently to get his daughter’s diary published.Only Anne's father, Otto, survived the war after Soviet forces liberated Auschwitz on January 27, 1945. Otto was presented later with Anne’s writings, which were preserved by Miep Gies, one of the Dutch citizens who had hidden the Franks. Otto Frank was integral to getting his daughter’s diary published.

By the end of the war, boys as young as 12 were serving in German civil defense and in the German home guard, the Volkssturm.
The Nazi Party tried to extend its influence over all aspects of German society. The Hitler Youth and the League of German Girls were developed as Nazi Party youth groups to introduce children and juveniles to Nazi ideology and policy.

“After the war, the Hitler Youth and the League of German Girls were outlawed. Baldur von Schirach stood trial for war crimes at Nuremberg. He was acquitted of the charges related to the Hitler Youth. However, he was convicted of crimes against humanity for other crimes and sentenced to twenty years in prison.”

Hitler was appointed chancellor of Germany in 1933 then in 1944 he was named Fuhrer 

which gave him total control of both the government and military.

It started because Germany invades poland and the British dropped the first bombs on German soil 

President Roosevelt remained focused on the problems at home as he declared American Neutrality (meaning they would stay out of war) even though the British asked for their help.

            How it all started
1939: There were multiple enemies, the main enemy was Adolf Hitler. He Proceeded to invade Poland they then blame the assault on Poland themselves. America favored isolationism and stayed out of the war for a while, they proceeded to declare their neutrality in the European war. Canada declared war on Germany. Poland surrenders to German forces. Germans then attack the brits. 

1941: The United States entered the war after the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor in Hawaii killing over 2,400 Americans.
      How it ended
World War 2 ended May, 7 1945.  It ended because Germany surrendered. The Japanese launched the largest, and last, Banzai charge of the Pacific War. Three thousand men charge into the American war.

President Roosevelt signed a document for the relocation of all the Americans of Japanese ancestry to concentration camps. They were forced to be put in the concentration camps because the american troops and presidents believed that the Japanese Americans were still loyal to their ancestry country. Many Japanese Americans were forced out of their homes and forced to leave their business. Ten camps where finally completely in remote areas of seven western states.The housing was spartan tarpaper barebacks, families dined together in communal mess halls.The children were expected to go to school and the adults had a choice to work for $5 per day.The united states government hope to make the camps self sufficient. Red korematsu decided to test the government relocation action in the courts. He found little sympathy there. In korematsu against the UNITED STATES, the Supreme Court justified the executive order as a wartime necessity. When the order was repealed, many found they could not return to their hometowns. Hostility against Japanese Americans remained high across the West Coast into the postwar years as many villages displayed signs demanding that the evacuees never return. As a result, the interns scattered across the country.
