1. Hi everyone!! Welcome!! My name is Mari Louise Germono, you can call me "Mari" or "Mariposa". I am the Director of Recruitment of BSO and this is my 2nd year here in SWC. I graduated from Olympian HS class of 2019 :) and I am majoring in Nursing hoping to become a registered nurse.

2. This picture was taken by Jessica (our previous president) and this was located at the sunset cliffs. Me and a couple of other Bayan students just had a counseling appointment/class and we decided to go out and eat ramen since it was Jessica's first time. Afterwards, we decided to go to the cliffs to hang out and take pictures.

3. My advice for everyone:
- You need to participate a lot especially in discussions. Aronson WILL put you on the spot and make you talk. This also applies to PD, this class WILL help you get to know more about yourself and your peers.
-Have fun and build your connections with each other. I know the pandemic makes it hard for you to do that. (FT and do homework together, that will help you guys get to know each other).

1. Hello, I'm Madeline!! I graduated from Eastlake High School and this is my second year at SWC. Ever since quarantine started I suddenly became interested in caring for plants and with the help of my grandma, I currently have two houseplants that are still alive (it's truly a miracle because I don't have a green thumb).

2. I spent July to mid-August with my family in Hawaii and my cousin took me on TWO hikes in ONE morning!! I was dead tired after. On the second hike we went to Maunawili Falls and I got to see my first waterfall (don't worry, safety guidelines were followed). You can see me in front of the waterfall in the image below. ;)

3. My advice to you is to make time for yourself. It's easy to get caught up with school, work, friends, family, etc. but also remember to take some time to relax unwind, and check-in with yourself.

3. My advice to the new cohort is to try to form a foundation or community that you feel comfortable with to help you through this big transition. It is a big step from high school to college for most students no doubt. So having a good support group will help you! :)

3. Some advice I would give would be to really enjoy yourself during your first year in college even though I know its a little difficult during this time but really make the most of it. 1.) Hello everyone! I’m Jalen, and I’m the Director of Public Relations of BSO. My major is graphic design and I graduated from Otay Ranch High School in 2019. I have been teaching Kung Fu for over nine years now and I strive to learn new techniques and ways to make myself and the world better overtime.

2.) This photo was taken at Los Peñasquitos Canyon Reserve Trail. My friends and I wanted to try something different and go outside our comfort zone. It was very fun. Although, our calf muscles were burning at the end, this will always be a memory that will never be forgotten.

3.) My advice is to not be afraid to take risks. Talking in front of the class or introducing yourself to new people can be challenging and scary. However, by taking the extra step into the “unknown” it will enable you to discover new ways of thinking and establish long lasting friendships and connections. We are here to help you and be there to guide you. College can be crazy but having a strong support system will make the college experience much more enjoyable.

1. Howdy! 🤠 I'm Julyun, and I am your Directer of Finance for BSO! I feel like my character is someone who has a number of different hobbies in which they use to occupy their time, because time is o' so precious so why not spend it doing things that make you happy and interested. To name a few, I found my love for music and dancing because of show choir. I've always wanted to travel the world so I started to learn French, Spanish, Korean, and Tagalog. I dabble in astrology, tarot cards, and herbal medicine. The list goes on!

2. One little fact about Julyun is that he's always changing his appearance. Before taking this picture, I had actually gotten my hair done by my cousin who so happens to be an amazing hair stylist. I went from blonde to a more ashier color, and because I was going to a birthday party later that day, a combover felt better than the usual middle part.

3. A piece of advice I'd say is to trust the process. Experiencing the lows is what gets you to the highs. I guarantee you will get through it feeling more reassured and confident in yourself. Bayan is here for everyone of y'all and we're glad to assist y'all with anything!

2. This is a picture of me straight posted by the graffiti dam in Chula Vista. It was taken around the beginning of quarantine. Ever since quarantine started my family and I have been doing a bunch of different hikes just to get out of the house.

3. A piece of advice I would like to share to you guys is that you should get connected with everyone you meet. When I was a freshman I had this fixed mindset that I would do everything on my own. However, I found that this is simply not as effective nor fun. Finding friends that help motivate you and faculty that can answer many of your questions are the key to having not only a successful academic career but an enjoyable one as well.

1.Hi I’m Adam and I really love being outside and hanging out with friends and or family. I graduated from Otay Ranch Highschool but I also went to
Sweetwater Highschool and two other high schools
before that.

2. The story behind the picture I was staying at my cousins for the summer and the whole family had a party so we decided to take some stupid pictures.

3.If I had to give some advice it’d be to not take life so seriously and have fun because you never know when it’s gonna be over, especially with this pandemic going on.
