Mentor Text and Questions

1. Despite the difficulties of a hectic schedule and limited kitchen supplies, this work aims to teach college students how to prepare meals efficiently in order to save time, save expenses, and eat better.

2. College students who may not have access to a full kitchen, have limited time, and tight budgets are the target demographic. These students require practical assistance, easy-to-follow recipes, and inspirational direction that makes meal planning appear doable in their everyday lives.

3. The work employs a number of successful techniques, such as first-person narrative, well-structured, step-by-step sections, and specific, useful advice. While keeping a positive and approachable tone, it also explicitly addresses typical student problems such a lack of funds or room and offers workable answers.

4. This mentor text's qualities are its lucidity, empathic attitude that makes students feel encouraged rather than evaluated, and applicability to the college experience. One drawback is that, because it is a blog post, it does not visually illustrate the cooking process and occasionally makes the assumption that students already know the fundamentals of cooking.

5. By demonstrating the value of outlining the reasons why meal preparation is important before getting into the "how-to," this mentor book can have an impact on my own endeavor. It also motivates me to maintain my tone lighthearted and encouraging while breaking up my video into segments that include tools, recipes, and storage techniques. In contrast to the blog post, I will have to include visual examples of each stage to make the process easier to understand.
