- problem of the fragmentation inside universities (faculties, bodies, type of contracts,..) => makes it difficult to implement global responses (does the risk of inequity prevent institutions to apply global measures ?)
- competitive environment does not encourage solidarity + solidarity is not valued or really encouraged)
- impact of the pandemic on research capacity and diversity will only be observable in a few years => need to act now
- inconsistency between the institution's discourse (take care of yourselves and your families) and the measures taken to help us stay on track for research or careers
- global measures are possible ! (volvo example)
- finding new solutions and adapting the university to post-covid and the future challenges (climate change) should be done at every level and instance. creating a working group on post-covid is not enough
