Maroo is brave and friendly because when she found the wild dog hurt, she helped the dog knowing that she might get hurt and she tried to be friendly to the dog and took good care of him. After a few days the dog wagged it's tail at Maroo.


2) Compare and contrast your MAIN CHARACTER's life to YOUR life. Write about several aspects that are similar and different

The similarities between Maroo and I would be that we both love dogs and that we would both rescue the dog. Our differences are that I don't have a little sister or brother, I only have one older sister, but she does have a little sister and brother. Another difference is that we live in different time periods.


3) Based on your book, would you have liked to have lived in the Stone Age? Why or why not? 

I wouldn't have cared because they have a pet dog and they still have food to eat even though they have to wait until the hunters come back. Also they have to move often. Even though I don't care whether I live in the ice age or not, I think I would enjoy living in the 2000's because there is advanced technology.

Maroo cared for the dog and gave it what he needed to survive. The puppy was hurt and Maroo and Otec helped the poor little puppy heal so they earned the puppies love.

It was Nimai's job. The baby's diaper was made out of fur and it had leavesand  moss to keep the dippers.

Maroo took good care and fed it, even if the puppy tried to bite. They also helped the puppy heal it's wound. It proved itself a part of the clan because when they let the leash go, the dog followed  the group wagging it's tail.

#2. In ancient times, babies didn’t have diapers. What did Tikek use instead, and whose job was it to gather these materials? 

The baby would be wrapped around in fur and they would tuck soft leavesand  moss to keep the baby dry. It was Nimai's / the woman's job.

I think the way they tamed the dog is by their tone of their voice. After commanding the dog to things, the dog learns who's boss. I think after a while they except the dog into their group because he starts to obey their commands, and he will stand by Maroo and the other people when they are in trouble.
