2. It is not the same as halloween, nor has the same meaning.
3. It is a time to celebrate life, not death. 
4. It is not a sad tradition: we are honoring our loved ones. 
5. Part of the celebrations include building altars for our loved ones that include their picture, favorite foods, candles, skulls, and paper decorations. 
6. The day of the dead is sometimes celebrated in graveyards. 
7. It is a very significant day. We honor, love, and respect the dead on this day.
