There is a lot of customs I have gained from my parents but there is also some that I didn’t. For me, my customs are very confusing because I have an American father and a Hispanic mother. Like you were saying Mr. Olivas, my mother usually cuts up the spaghetti however, my father uses the spoon to twirl it on the fork. From my mother’s side I have learned to learn the spanish language because most of the family speaks spanish. I’ve also adopted the Catholic religion, to not pronounce Spanish words in an American accent (compliments of my mother), the love of dancing, and being familiar with big families. Most hispanic families are big such as mine, when I go to a party with a huge family and my friend asks, “Are ALL these people JUST your cousins?”, I happily say, “Yes.” One custom I didn’t gain is the love of jalapenos, for some reason I don’t like the taste, it just doesn’t do anything to the flavor of the food. Ironic though isn’t it how I enjoy Takis instead. From my father’s side I have gained many customs such as how to speak in the South, I enjoy flying on airplanes and traveling, going barefoot, etc. From both sides I gained manners

I differ from my parent by the food they eat. My parents love avocado and I don't. My family loves goat, fish and shrimp. I don't really like goat.The music I listen to is something way different I listen to.

I am different from my parents because going to church all Sundays . The thing that i inherited from my parents is that every time that i eat i eat with a tortilla not with a fork .

I share my family's culture,for example, like the type of food we eat. I differ from my family is when i am at the table I'm usually on my phone or watching television. My parents always get mad at me for that and also for not eating at the table. My parents think saying yes sir and yes mam is a big deal because it shows respect, but i usually don't say it because i find it really weird. And I don't call all my aunts and uncles Tia or tia. I call them by their first name. But I only call one of my aunts tia and that is because she asked me to call her like that.

The culture that me and my family share is that we love spicy foods. almost every day we eat spicy foods. And what I differ from my mom is that she likes to eat tortillas of flower and I like tortillas corn. My religion is catholic and my culture is Hispanic.

Some customs that I don’t get from my parents are that I don’t like to eat the food that they eat during Lent. I'm Catholic as my family. Another thing that I got from my family is that I use Spanish as my first language. My family say “yes sir” and “yes ma’am” to every people and I just say it t people older than me. My parents do like mole and I don’t. I don't like to eat onions same as my dad.

I differ from my parents because they think that is really important to eat in the table without my phone and with the TV off but if I do them I get bored while eating. Everyone in my family enjoys playing baseball and they all love it, but I hate baseball or softball.I don't really like the same music that they do. I use Spanish as my first language, my favorite food is the Mexican food like my family and we all are Catholic.

i share the same culture as my family, because we all like to eat spicy Chile. Another culture that i inherited from my family is that we all like the same type of music. Another thing is that we can't eat any food without tortillas. My family and i share a different culture because they like to eat together in the table, and i just want to go eat in my room or in the living room. Also, my family likes to dance and i don't. In my family we have certain customs that I will pass on to my own family. My family has a custom of eating all three meals on the table every saturday. I won’t pass own all our traditions and customs, for example I don’t always go to church with my family, only on special occasions. I won’t take my family to church every Sunday. I don’t like the music my parents listen to either. My parent are comfortable talking spanish while I prefer english.

One custom I didn’t inherit from my parents was eating every meal at the table. At some time i eat either in my bedroom or even the living room. Another one is having the mexican ability to eat any type of chile. The only spicy food that i can eat would be red enchiladas, and even then i need extra toppings to make it less spicy so I can eat it peacefully. My mom supports my idea of having people wear white instead of traditionally black. My dad listens to christian music and my mom to mexican music, I dont listen to either of that type of music so I obviously didnt inherit that from my parents. My family and I always go out to my grandpa's property for Easter, we play soccer, baseball, and of course, eat. My mom and I go to church almost every Sunday and I think I will go to church even when I'm older. The very first thing I've inherited from my parents was their Hispanic language.

one of the tings that I differ from my parents is eating in the table. But what I share with them is liking the same food as them. what I differ is that I use the phone in the table when i eat. What we kind of share is that we like kind of the same music

I'm differ from my parents culture because I eat in the living room sometimes or in my room ad my parents get mad at me. They also get mad at me when I don't want to go to church either they force me or I get away with it which I usually do. They also don't like I when I'm with my phone at the table they say its disrespectful.

I share the same culture as both my parents do. my mother and father both do mostly the same things together. i always follow my dad mostly but the only thing it that i like to eat cereal in the living room and my mom hates it. but i do the same things like go to church from my moms side and work as a mechanic with my dad.

There are customs that I have inherited from my parents and there are others I haven't. Things that I differ from my family's culture is music and they way I dress. Another thing I didn’t inherit either is always eating in the table for whatever it may be either breakfast, lunch or dinner. I usually eat in my room or near the tv. My family always likes to eat chile or really spicy food. I don’t eat a any kind of chile except bell pepper because it’s not even hot. Some customs that I have inherited were manners and religion.

I don't think me and my parents differ in culture, except for maybe music and different foods we like. I'm Catholic but my parents don't have a religion. And we just can't forget the idea that we are very chileros. Also the Mexican cooks done by my dad or mom such as disco, asado or carne asada.

The way I differ from my parents culture is probably in music. Although in most of the other part of their culture, I am similar. For example like in manners/customs, I use "usted " and "tu" to different people depending on who they are. In other words on the way we act with people and ourselves. Another similar part of culture with my family is religion. My parents are christian and so am I. This are some of the ways I can compare and differ to y families culture.

I have a different culture then my parents for they like different things then I do for example music, movies ,clothes ,hobbies and behavior. The music that I hear are different then the music they hear. I didn't inherit liking the same ice cream flavor.

Some customs that I have inherited from my parents are music, food, and well basically almost everything. The kind of music we listen to is Mexican/Chicano music however you may want to call it Mr. Olivas. Food, I sometimes do get tired of eating mexican food literally everyday of the week. Im not saying i dont like it but maybe we can maybe mix it up a bit every once in a while. One thing i differ from my mother is that i think i may have the freedom to go out during the weekdays with her permission obviously. But as she thinks that going out during the weekdays are bad and they mess me up with my studies. These are some ways i compare and contrast to my family's culture.

Some of the ways I share my family culture is in food, and religion. We I like almost all the food, my parents like more different type of foods than I do. Sometimes I share the same culture with my father by dressing, but that only happens when we go to church. The music we listen too is religious but my parents preferred it in Spanish but I preferred it in English. Plus mine is in a teen style, theirs is in a adult style. In religion, we are all Catholics, we are very active in our faith, and we are all very close. The rest of the things, we have nothing in common.

I think the only thing i differ from my parents are music and social media!For example when we have a little get together as a family we listen to mexican music and sometimes country. When i am in my room cleaning or something else i listen to music that has noting to do with mexican or country more like hip pop something like that. And my parents tell me to take it off because it says bad words or something bad. Other is social media, my parents get mad when i am on my phone all the time. When i am on facebook, ect...... because i am not doing what i am suppose to or it just bothers them.
