In the story, he shows strong change, which is what we were trying to convey throughout the essay.

In my opinion, the best thing I read this year was the book, "A Long Walk To Water" because of it's significance in the real world. I think it was a great read because of how it brought attention to the problems the world faced both recently, and many years ago, all while making it interesting, unlike many other books based on true events.

Socratic Seminar

A Socratic Seminar is similar to a debate, where the people participating tell and support their opinions, and disagree or agree with others' points. The first Socratic Seminar we did in the beginning of the year, was on the topic of "Civil Rights." The second seminar we did later on was for the topic, "What was the most significant change/contribution Charles Dickens' novel A Christmas Carol made to the world." One of my positive experiences for the Socratic Seminar was when I stated my point, and two people agreed with me after one person disagreed. I think that showed that my point had made sense, and that it was relevant, and I think that was a good experience.
