Despite all the information about smoking young people still continue to smoke.

Many people experiment with popping pills and other substances during youth. Misuse of illicit pill popping can lead to a range of short- and long-term effects on health and wellbeing, such as internal organ damage (including brain damage) and depression. Those who experiment with substances during youth are more likely to develop substance abuse issues later in life, which further increases the risk of health conditions. Although the impacts will depend on the type of pill, how it is taken and the duration of use, some common consequences include social isolation, mental disorders, poor academic performance, unemployment, increased rate of criminal behaviour and family breakdown.
