Edith is a teacher of German and History and Barbara teaches Law, Economics and Civics.

We’re eager to gather fresh ideas for teaching European political topics in the classroom, fostering European values, and supporting the European integration.

We also look forward to connecting with like-minded educators and schools. We are looking forward to meet you all in Vienna!

Our school is located in Lefkonas, a village near the cities of Serres and Thessaloniki (the second largest city in Greece). It is a relatively small school, with approx. 100 students aged 12-14yrs. We cover all subjects of middle education according to the Greek curriculum and we are highly active in organizing clubs, educational programs, eTwinning projects and events that contribute to our students' education. We are also happy to host a class of refugee children.

I'm really looking forward to participate in this TCA seminar about European political education. I hope to gain practical insights and strategies for fostering students’ awareness of European values and active citizenship as well as ways of implementing all that into classroom activities. I am also very excited to connect with educators from across Europe, share experiences, develop ideas and establish meaningful eTwinning and Erasmus+ partnerships!

My name is Mārtiņš Stebulis. I am from Kuldīga, Latvia. Kuldīga is a charming town in Latvia, known for having the widest waterfall in Europe, Ventas Rumba. In 2023, Kuldīga Old Town was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

I work as a computer science teacher at V. Plūdoņa Kuldīgas Secondary School, where I also lead the European Parliament Ambassador School club. I hope that the knowledge gained during the training will help develop the activities of the European Parliament Ambassador School and open up opportunities for international cooperation as well.

The Henry-Benrath Schule is a secondary school in Friedberg with about 1000 students aged 10 to 16. I am also the Erasmus coordinator at my school. Looking forward to meeting you next week.

My name is Dorothea Winter. I teach German, Sociology, politics and economics to students aged 10 to  19 years up to A-levels.

My school, the Max-Planck-Gymnasium with more than 1000 students aged 10 to 19 years, is located right in the middle of the city of Trier, where more than 100.000 inhabitants live, with a university and a university of applied sciences. Trier is also an ancient Roman City, where emperor Konstantin reignend around 300 a.C. Many tourists from all over the world visit our city to see the ancient and medieval buildings. The Trier area is also famous for the vineyards and many wine varieties.

In addition to teaching I am the 2nd deputy to the principal I am head of the orientation stage.

I teach every year  students in the very important topics of Democracy, the role of political institutions, the European Union project, which has been under development for many years, and the important role of citizens in liberal and democratic societies.

Iam glad to meet you all in Vienna, to learn from your ideas and to develop joint projects for political education in europe.

My name is Ines Obermair and I teach political science, history, psychology and philosophy in Austria.

My scool is called the "HBLW Wels". We have 350 students between 14 and 19. I am looking forward on getting some new ideas of how to improve the democratic avareness of young people! Additionally, and most important: I am looking forward on meeting all of you!

I'm Tamara from Bad Ischl. I teach English and French. I am passionate about the EU and Erasmus+.

Beside my teachings I am leading the Debatting club at our school and also train teachers in Jugend debattiert at the PL in Speyer. I am looking forward to our seminar to gather new experiences and ideas, network with interested people in whole europe and to learn more how to implement european political education at our school. I am Viktória from Hungary, from Gordius Learning Ltd.

Our company runs as a project management organisation in the field of Erasmus+ and I work here as a project manager for 2 years now.

We are focusing on expanding our portfolio now and have just started to host student and teacher groups in Hungary as well, in the framework of Erasmus+. We have deceloped a training course about the EU and I would like to gain some knowledge regarding to improving our course portfolio.
