Worldwide Economic Depression
I believe the worldwide economic depression had a very large impact on causing WWII for many reasons. One of these reasons being that many countries were economically unstable after WWI. Also, countries relied on others in order to gain stability, so when the United States crashed, basically so did everyone else. Ultimately, this led to upset leaders and reactions, causing this huge conflict.

I believe that the rise of communism in Germany that happened because of Hitler was one of the greatest influences and causes of WW2. The rise of the Nazi party left the fate of many groups of people like the jews in the hands of other countries actions. Hitler and the Nazis took power and overthrew any form of well regulated government that was existent, making every action performed extremely corrupt, and making other countries step in and get involved to stop all of the trouble.

In my opinion, the most significant cause of WWII was the Treaty of Versailles. This is due to the fact that many other major causes link back to it. The treaty of Versailles punished Germany for WWI heavily, laying on heavy war reparations and forcing them to take responsibility for the entire war. This treatment led to the highly industrialized Germany, when controlled by a fascist group angry about the treaty, to go in to war overdrive and become an even stronger military superpower. This treaty also heavily punished Austria, creating separate Czech, Hungarian, and Slovenian states, removing most of the territory that the Austrian Empire controlled and shattering the Austrian people's morale, causing a certain Austrian man to come to power in 1933.

Nationalism is the belief in the superiority of one's own nation over others, which can lead to major conflicts among several nations. Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy, and the Japanese all believed they their nation was superior leading up to WWII.

I think the Treaty of Versailles was a significant cause of World War II. The treaty caused Germany to have bitter feelings which was kind of the start of the conflict in the first place. Germany had all of the blame put on them for the war and was forced to pay millions of dollars in reparations. This led to many other causes of World War II.
