If students are able to articulate their thinking they will be able to be problem solvers. Teacher will also be able to correct any misunderstandings of the student. Number talks allow students to be critical thinkinkers. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>How can formative data be used to create performance-based groups?<br><br>&nbsp;You can use the formative data to group students based on their skill ability. For example the little girl got the perceptual aspect because she was able to subtract 70-30 to get 40, but she add 4 instead of subtracting. So we would group with other students that are struggling with the same concepts and use manipulatives. The little boy who added on a number line mentally had more of an conceptual understanding. I would group in with other students and use more abstract teaching.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
