By Jodi Picoult
Kate is a teenage girl who has been battling luekemia since a very young age with the help of her younger sister Anna, who eventually turns on the whole family for her own good.
This book was extremely emotional, and had me on the verge of tears with every word I read. http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/10917.My_Sister_s_Keeper

By Jodi Picoult
Anna was specifically made by her parents to save her older sister who was diagnosed with luekemia. She was put through many intense and painful surgeries to the point where she no longer felt like a human, but more like an object. She eventually had enough and made a difficult decision to emancipate herself from her parents so she no longer had to give up parts of her body to save someone else.
I had so many mixed feelings about this book. I flipped between the sister's and whose side I was on multiple times and still, I have no idea which one I felt more sorry for. https://www.theguardian.com/childrens-books-site/2013/jun/06/review-my-sisters-keeper-jodi-picoult
