They reached these goals by holding conventions (Seneca Falls Convention) and forming groups (Women's Christian Temperance Union).<br>At the Seneca Falls Convention, the Declaration of Sentiments was drafted, which demanded equal rights. (see image below)<br>The Women's Christian Temperance Union worked towards the prohibition of alcohol.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Stanton studied at Troy Female Seminary, and her interest and knowledge of legal studies increased through conversations with her father, who was a lawyer. Stanton was a driving force in the organization of the Seneca Falls Convention and was one of the authors of the Declaration of Sentiments, a document that was deemed even more radical than the Declaration of Independence.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Women's Christian Temperance Union played a major role in the prohibition of alcohol. Also, in 1839, women were given limited property rights. This movement and the work done by these activists drew attention to the hardships that were faced by women during this time period, eventually leading to women gaining rights such as suffrage after the Civil War.</div>]]></description>
