There are different types of an integrated curriculum as mentioned by ASCD (2004):

1. Connected. This happens when topics surrounding disciplines are connected, which allows students to review and re-conceptualize ideas within a discipline. However, it has its shortcomings because the content focus still remains in one discipline.

2. Sequenced. This is observed when similar ideas are taught together, although in different subjects, which facilitates learning across content areas, but requires a lot of communication among teachers of different disciplines.

3. Shared. This is when teachers use their planning to create an integrated unit between two disciplines. Although in some ways, this method of integration requires a lot of communication and collaboration between two teachers. A teacher presents the structure, format and standards in making research while collaborating with the science teacher, who focuses on the content area of research that is related to science.

4. Webbed. This reflects when a teacher plans to base the subject areas around a central theme that will tend students to see the connection within different subjects.

The integrated curriculum focuses on making significant connections between subjects or skills that are typically addressed across multiple subject areas. Integrating the curriculum can also enhance learning experiences (Hallmark, 2020). There are 10 types of Integrated Curriculum (Lake, 1994), the first one is fragmented wherein discipline in the curriculum is separated and definite from one another though the transfer of learning is minimal and connections to students are indistinct. Second is connected, everything within the discipline interconnects with every topic and by that; students can acquire and digest the topics. Nested tackles various disciplines that enhances the learning, more likely on the social, logical, and content skills in a specific
subject. Similar information is taught in concert and facilitator transfer the learning across content is present in sequenced. Fifth, shared is responsible in having collaboration in terms of contributing shared ideas, skills, and attributes though it requires a lot of time, flexibility, and compromise with others. Sixth, webbed, topics are base for instructions in many disciplines. This is when a selected theme allows the learners to branch out and connect their ideas to it. Threaded usually happens when cognitive, interpersonalskills, multiple intelligences intertwines with each other. Integrated, multiple disciplines intersect to several ideas and skills due to common denominator and it lets the learners interconnects the ideas to one another. Ninth is immersed. From the name itself, integration of theme happens within the learner’s learning view however, the handicap of this is learner’s focus may be limited. Lastly, networked, students’ integrate learning process by
determining and picking out the experts and resources that can be helpful in obtaining information, skills, and concepts.

References:
Best school in Panchkula. 2021. Integrated learning:
Definition, Characteristics and Benefits.

Integrated Curriculum is a learning theory describing a movement toward integrated lessons helping students makes connections across curriculum. The approach should be viewed as a tool that can help educate students and engage them in the learning process. it is not an end itself. An integrated curriculum is described as one that connects different areas of study by cutting across subject-matter lines and emphasizing unifying concepts. integration focuses on making concern connections for students, allowing them to engage in relevant, meaningful activities that can be connected to real life. An integrated curriculum allows children to pursue learning in a holistic way, without the restrictions often imposed by subject boundaries. It emphasizes the importance of maintaining partnerships with families having knowledge of children and how they learn; and building upon the community and cultural context.

Understanding the benefits and how to effectively integrated curriculum can help both the teachers and students to be more successful in the classroom.there are four types of integrated curriculum these are connected, sequenced, shared, webbed. The connected model does not integrated various subject but it's more on focusing on the integrating skills within the specific subject. In sequence the topics are taught separately but if has a sequenced. Shared it involved coordinated planning. Webbed it use a theme to connect with all the subject

An integrated approach to education will help students transform into lifelong learners and be better prepared for the real world because what they will face out there is not one dimensional. In the workplace no matter where that is requires us to be able to read, write, use technology, reason, and work collaboratively, among other skills learned in school. Educators should use an integrated approach, it will transform the curriculum to have a more real world application, which is reason behind integer curriculum.
Reference:
https://study.com/academy/lesson/integrated-curriculum-definition-benefits-examples.html

Integrated Curriculum, in my opinion, is the combining of two or more separate subjects and learnings into one to provide new ways of learning that may help learners in discovering and honing new skill sets. Integrated Curriculum allows students to firsthand experience the subject matter in order to better grasp it and apply it in real-life situations. Also, I believe that an integrated curriculum allows kids to study in a holistic manner, which means that students/learners will view the subject as a whole and with a different perspective.
Integrated Curriculum can benefit both students and teachers. For students, it will most likely help them in discovering abilities that they can apply outside of the classroom or in real life, such as collaboration, communication, and critical thinking.
It will assist teachers/facilitators in coming up with new ways to engage their pupils in order to make them more active, motivated, and interested in learning. Teachers should be aware that today's learners like to learn in an environment where they have the freedom to see things for themselves that's why , integrated curriculum is ideally suited to for today's learning, which is an approach that assists teachers in developing new techniques for processing knowledge and teaching it to their pupils.
To summarize, Integrated Curriculum has a significant impact on students' learning; even so, today's students may be a little rebellious?? ( not totally rebellious but some students stood up with their own ideologies and some argues with their teachers even though they are not totally correct, i don't know if it is a bad or a good sign of being a good learner because they stood up and fight for their beliefs, something like that); but they are the type of students who wants to experience things in their own hands and most students move and makes decision with their own perspectives/ views in life; therefore, Integrated Curriculum is an approach that would likely be an interesting approach for today's learners and it might be one of best approach ( if the not the best) to use in facilitating today's learners(in my opinion).

https://study.com/academy/lesson/integrated-curriculum-definition-benefits-examples.html

And i just want to share these:

Components of Integrated Curriculum
( This is just a copy and paste but it
may also gives us information about Integrated Curriculum)

Focuses on basic skills, content and higher level thinking.

Encourages lifelong learning

Structures learning around themes, big ideas and meaningful concepts.

Provides connections among various curricular disciplines.

Provides learners opportunities to apply skills they have learned.

Encourages active participation in relevant real-life experiences.

Captivates, motivates, and challenges learners.

Provides a deeper understanding of content.

Offers opportunities for more small group and industrialized instruction.

Accommodates a variety of learning styles/theories (i.e., social learning theory, cooperative learning, intrinsic motivation, and self-efficacy) and multiple intelligences.

https://www.slideshare.net/IqraShah3/integrated-curriculum-48294090

An integrated curriculum has many different meanings. Everyone has his or her own definition of an integrated curriculum. Malik & Malik (2011) defined integration as the organization of teaching matter to bring subjects together that are usually taught separately. Campbell and Henning (2010) believed that an integrated curriculum is learning organized around problems and issues of the students. Shriner, Schlee, and Libler (2010) believed that an integrated curriculum applies skills and vocabulary from more than one subject area to examine a central topic. Beane (1997) contended that an integrated curriculum “is concerned with enhancing the possibilities for personal and social integration through the organization of a curriculum around significant problems and issues, collaboratively identified by educators and young people, without regard for subject-area lines (p. 55). Integrative approaches for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) were defined as approaches that linked teaching and learning between two or more of the STEM areas or between STEM and another school subject (Becker & Park, 2011).

Reference:
https://files.eric.ed.gov/fulltext/ED552916.pdf

Curriculum integration occurs when a teacher combines subjects under state and national standards to efficiently achieve goals and provide a more meaningful learning environment for students and show them how to do it. Solve problems in another. An integrated approach to learning helps students be successful as learning is faster when the content is meaningful and not full of independent facts across disciplines. So that’s why the association for supervision and curriculum development come up to present and make these types of the integrated curriculum can make learning students more informative, in fact, based on the research findings the researchers found out that Humanitas students stay in school longer, work harder (through objective action and their own report), and like school better. Expectations from this interdisciplinary program are higher and students will be involved in more complex discussions that require it. Create connections between content areas and the real world. The same expectations apply to student written work as students may be asked to write an essay that discusses the beliefs of more than one culture and how those beliefs are influenced by factors and cultural values. The students should incorporate perspectives from art history, literature, and social institutions and create references to their own life.

Integrated Curriculum (educationnorthwest.org)
Integrating the Curriculum - Overview (weebly.com)

The article shows not only the other kinds of integrated curriculum but the importance itself. Integrated curriculum helps schools to become more to improve and innovate the ways of teaching because this curriculum is one that connects different areas of study by cutting across subject-matter lines and emphasizing unifying concepts. Integration focuses on making connections for students, allowing them to engage in relevant, meaningful activities that can be connected to real life. Can you imagine how an integrated curriculum can benefit your students? Understanding the benefits and how to effectively integrate curriculum can help teachers and students become more successful in the classroom.

Students not only connect and create more real world connections in integrated classrooms, but they are also more actively engaged. Creating an integrated curriculum means that teachers are charged with having to create challenging, fun, meaningful tasks that help students connect to information. Creating a solar system unit that also requires oral language development and practice, reading comprehension skills and mathematics, can engage students far more than just a lesson on the solar system alone. Integration helps to achieve retention and engagement in classrooms, which yields higher mastery of content standards.

Reference:
https://educationnorthwest.org/

ReidBrock University, Ontario, CanadaAbstractThere is an emerging international consensus on the importance of developing 21st Century capabilities as part of education curricula. Yet, educators are uncertain about the definitions of the capabilities, and how to teach and assess them. This paper offers integrated curriculum as an effective way to resolve some of the challenges associated with developing the C21 capabilities. We present an overarching curriculum framework - the Know-Do-Be. Next, we identify the capabilities as they are described in various jurisdictions. Then we offer a backward design planning process that allows for creative and coherent curriculum design. Models of integrated curriculum are explored followed by research on the effectiveness of integration. Finally, we show how bringing together the competencies and integrated curriculum can create a rich learning situation. The paper concludes with recommendations for facilitating the foregrounding of the 21st Century capabilities through curriculum integration.

Reference:
https://www.researchgate.net/publication/324250557_Integrated_Curriculum_as_an_Effective_Way_to_Teach_21st_Century_Capabilities

Whenever I heard the words Integrated Curriculum the first thing that comes into my mind is how time changes the future of teaching, the once traditional becomes integrated. The curriculum kept improving more and more as time goes by no wonder after maybe some years the professionals developed again a curriculum which leveled up the most, It helps us to innovate, to find more ways to learn to connect different ideas into one.

There are copious amounts of different types of integrated curriculum that we can find on internet, but imagined combining all the different types to create a massive ideal curriculum. Imagine if we stay connected to the topic and to our teacher, if the sequence of every subjects topic was perfectly alligned, if the teacher shared all their wisdom to class they'll create a great bond, and lastly the webbed if teacher uses their subject to connect to different subjects the students will tend to understand it more.

There is no great or less type of integrated curriculum, it's just some sort of puzzle we just have to connect all the pieces to see the beautiful masterpiece behind it.
