         <description><![CDATA[<div>1) The neck and bill are elongated to help survive in aquatic environment.<br><br>2) It has wide toes and long bare legs for walking and finding food.<br><br>3) It migrates away from tundra to escape the freezing winters.<br><br>4) They possess a sharp eyesight which helps in locating prey and predators.<br><br>5) An average wingspan of 230 cm greatly helps the crane during migration. The wingspan facilitates gliding where the wings do not need to be flapped frequently thus conserving energy and enabling the cranes to travel large distances without stopping.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The status of this crane is critical and the world population is estimated to be around 3200–4000. The following steps need to be taken to save them from extinction:-<br><br>1) Use of satellites, drones for tracking their habitats and migration routes.<br>2) Raising awareness at community level to prevent their hunting<br>3) Improved water resource management at their breeding and feeding sites<br>4) Hunting should be punishable under suitable law.<br>5) Protect wetlands and minimize human activities.</div>]]></description>
