Condove is a town with about 5000 inhabitants. Its area, around 72 sq. km, is 94% mountain. Condove is characterized by 77 mountainous villages, which abut in large side valleys. The area has  a French-Provencal linguistic minority, and it still happens  to meet young people who speak the dialect or the French-Provencal.

the proposed activities are devided in relation to the fields of experience, (learning objectives to be achieved during all three years of schooling). The National Guidelines for the Children's School of 2007 define them as follows:

- languages, creativity, expression (gesture, art, music, multimedia);
- speeches and words (communication, language, culture);
- the knowledge of the world (order, measure, space, time, nature).
