In the poem, “The rose that grew from concrete”, the author expresses his thoughts, based on experience, on how people with “un-likable” backgrounds can still blossom and thrive in life.
“Long live the rose that grew from concrete/when no one else ever cared”, this further enforces that idea that no matter where you came from, your roots, what you live by and who you surround yourself with, success is always an option, in whatever form it might come. And that most times jealousy will blind those that still haven’t found what they aspire in life.
The author uses punctuation to set rhythm to the poem, and to cause a much bigger effect on the reader, the use of pauses in text can work as a time to let the reader fully understand the feelings and messages in the poem (let it all sink in).
This is important because now that the reader had time to process the information in the poem, they are more likely to understand and retain the intentions of the author.

In the poem, ("The rose that grew from concrete"), (Tupac Shakur) it reveals the life of Tupac Shakur as he grew into a flower from concrete, the concrete is his neighbour/background and the rose is him Tupac Shakur.
This phrase supports this idea "Did you hear about the rose that grew from a crack in the concrete" the crack in the concrete infers opportunity light/hope or a tunnel vision to success. By using words such as "crack" may give the reader an insight on what the writer is trying to convey as the crack is the opportunity in this context.
The technique gives insight and conveys the context gives the reader a clear insight on Tupac's uprising.
Ultimately, this reveals that Tupac grew from a rough environment and grew out to be a rose (successful) in simple terms he became innovative.

“The Rose that grew from Concrete” explores the idea that the modern society is expected to follow a set of rules and laws, as proven in “nature's law is wrong it”. The author also supports this theme with another smaller message, “by keeping its dreams, / it learned to breathe fresh air”, besides the almost impossible thing that a plant can live surrounded in a complete urban environment. These verses are to emphasize that you are the one who chooses their own starting point. Finally, the final verse of the poem, “when no one else ever cared” demonstrates that society has accepted and no longer is expected to act differently.

Ultimately, this poem’s main message is that “you” are independent and have the ability to decide the place to start.

In the poem "The Rose that Grew from Concrete" by Tupac Shakur, the author explores how even the most beautiful and kind people come from the hardest and ugly backgrounds and are overlooked by society by relating it to his own experiences.
The language choices made by the author cause the reader to understand the message of the poem. In this case, a rose growing from concrete is already a juxtaposition since it contrasts something fragile and lovely growing from a rigid and unsightly environment. "It learned to breathe fresh air" is personifying the rose and attributing qualities to something who cannot "learn" to do anything. The rose symbolizes these people, and the concrete is all of the obstacles they had to endure throughout their life, almost holding them down.
The idea of this poem is further emphasized when the writer argues that even though people that came from these environments were neglected by society and belittled as to believe they could never reach their goals and objectives, they persisted. "...but by keeping its dreams/, it learned to breathe fresh air" shows that because they decided to believe in themselves, they were able to get out of that life and begin a new one where their past didn't weigh them down.

Lastly the author showed that the rose represented his life and how he overcomed all the difficulties of his childhood.

In the poem the rose that grew from concrete, Tupac Shakur explores the ideia of standing out, being different from what people expect. We can see the how the author explores this ideia on the following quote “proving natures law is wrong“ this quote shows how it is to go away from peoples expectations. Another ideia being portrayed on them poem is the ideia of judgment. The rose is judged several times based on were it was born this is shown in the following examples “did you hear about the rose that grew from the concrete ?“ the use of an interrogation mark shows judgment from the part of the overall population. Using the pronoun “you” shows direct address towards the reader making for judgment to be justified as a reasonable thing to do this is criticizing the society. Another quote showing how judgmental the poem is trying to portray nowadays people is by using “funny, is seems“ the use of the adjective funny makes it seem like growing different from other people is just a joke a nonsense.

In the poem "The Rose that Grew in Concrete" we can see that the author wants to present the idea of something delicate and fragile growing through something that is solid and hard and also that unexpected things can happen.
We can see this when the author uses "from a crack in the concrete?" - which proves that people didn't believe the fact that a rose grew in concrete and "Proving that nature's law is wrong" - which also brings the idea that it is unexpected and mistaken.
By using personification the author explores again the idea of illusion and dreams "but by keeping its dreams" as if the rose was dreaming.

The poem "The Rose That Grew From Concrete" makes a general point about how society underdogs, overcome challenges, achieve and succeed, however, society won't praise them for it, because no accomplishment they ever make, will be important enough for society to care.
We can characterize the rose, for example, as women, or as the author, Tupac, suggests, the Afro-American youth.
Roses usually represent love, hope, and courage, while the concrete represents the difficulties people overcome in their lives; the alliteration "crack in the concrete" emphasizes that, as the rose bloomed and grew, it overcame challenges, those set by society.
In juxtaposition, the rose can also represent betrayal, as the rose is personified, "learned to walk with out having feet.", making the impossible, possible, but, as society underdogs, "no one else ever cared.", emphasizing, the rose's capacity of symbolizing loss of hope.
Overall, the poem reminds the reader that you will only be recognized by society, once you are relevant to it.

In the poem, “The Rose That Grew From Concrete”, from Tupac Shakur shows that it doesn’t matter on what conditions you live in, you can always get to the top. In line 4, “learned to walk with out having feet” Tupac uses this metaphor to describe how the rose grew in a place where other roses don’t grow, so it’s obviously different from the others. Tupac, only in that line, talks about, to get to the top, you have to be or do something different from the others, you would have to be the first one to create a type of life or job.

In the poem " The rose that grew from concrete" written by Tupac Shakur. The author's intention and message when writing the poem was to show and prove how beautiful and amazing person's that come from harch backgrounds. this poem compares real life problems with the rose ,which is being referred in the poem. in the line " funny it seems, but by keeping its dreams, it learned to breathe fresh air" the author uses a personification to compare the rose to people's way of thinking such as, even tough they knew they weren't accepted and overlooked by society because of their backgrounds and what they looked and maybe the way the though , people judged them because of the past lives they had. the quatation " keeping its dreams" invoces how these people did not seem worried wiht other opinion and judgments and still tried the best and followed their dreams to become successful and what they wanted in life , ignoring their enemies first impression. as said above this all quote is a personification that makes people put their selves in other shoes as the author is comparing the rose to real life.
this verse hand's out the message that people's background does not affect their life and how people are and what their are campable of
