We read Greek Myths and we noticed that several myths portrayed the female Goddesses as clever and fierce when they needed to care for their children. Gaia had Cronus battle Uranus after Uranus buried her "monster" children and Rhea tricked Cronus with a stone to save Zeus from also being eaten by his father. This tells me that the Greek culture admires women for their strength and fierce devotion to their children.
