I was taught by watching Mrs. V and Ms. Gregg and how they are able to diffuse certain situations with some of the more troubled children. My favorite thing so far is the relationships I have made with the kids and my peers around me. It has made me a better person in general because I am much more patient and understanding. My favorite thing so far has been spending time with the children, and building relationships with the kids, it has been so fun to get to know the kids, and watch as they grow, even though we are only in November, I feel as if the kids have already grown up so much. It has been enjoyable to watch as the kids become more independent, and learn more about compassion, seeing how the kids have emotionally evolved so far has been a blessing to witness. I've learned how children's behavior works and why they may say or do things. I've learned about some cra cra child theory psychologists who were all right in their own way. I learned that there's an appropriate amount of time to keep a kid in time-out. I learned that all children develop at different rates. I've overall learned how to better understand children, and I've had up-close personal experience with interacting with children in the pre-k. I've also learned how to effectively handle situations and now I can even give advice to other people because I'm soon to be child development certified. This class has also helped me understand and cope with trauma from my childhood, I feel like I finally understood myself better now. I think my favorite part is definitely running games with kids and interning. The kids in pre-k are so full of light, energy, and joy. They can be crazy sometimes but overall I always get a good laugh when hanging out with them, not to mention, the kids have two amazing teachers who will guide them to be amazing kindergartens someday. I like running games with the kids because I like creating games that are fun but also mentally challenging in the sense that our game is helping them better learn something they already know. Last but not least, I just want to say thank you Mrs.Kruft for teaching me all the things I know now, I know sometimes I'm not the most enjoyable student to have in class but regardless I am grateful. To anyone of my classmates who have read this, I enjoy having a class with you guys.
