We're Not Gonna Take It by Twisted Sister

We're Not Gonna Take It tells the story of a young boy who's father is trying to force him to be something that he is not and he's not gonna take it anymore. He is constantly harassed by his father, and he snapped. This song represents freedom to me. At one point in the song it says "We've got the right to choose it. There ain't no way we'll lose it. This is our life, this is our song." This particular quote helps me understand that I have the choice to do whatever I want and no one else has the right to tell me what I can do. All Twisted Sister songs have a similar message like I Wanna Rock which is about the same general things.

Truce by Jim Murphy

This book is a true story about the Christmas Truce in World War I. In the book the German and the English soldiers stopped fighting on Christmas to celebrate together and then the next day went back to trying to kill each other. This book demonstrates that even though the soldiers were fighting each other they all are the same in some way. They might speak different languages, but they all come together to celebrate Christmas. This demonstrates my beliefs. I wish in the world that we can realize we are all the same, and come together as one. This ideal is shown through this true story of the Christmas Truce.

The Joy Painting with Bob Ross

The Joy of Painting is a TV show with painter Bob Ross. He absolutely loves painting and expresses it through his show. He states things in his show like a happy little tree or happy little cloud and he is very happy with the way his life is going. Bob Ross's TV show represents how I want to be when I grow up. No, I don't want to be a painter, but I want to be happy in what I'm doing. Also Bob Ross is a very calm collected person, and I'd like everyone to be as laid back and calm as he is. Another thing Bob Ross says is we don't make mistakes, just happy accidents. In some ways I believe this. If I make a mistake it can be mostly corrected if the time is put in to correct it.

Film: Deadpool

Deadpool is one of my favorite movies not only because of the comedic effect it has, but the lessons I learned from it. In the movie the main character, Wade Wilson, has terminal cancer in four different places and it seems he is going to die. He then goes to get experimental treatment that causes him to heal very well. He goes through all of the pain of his experimental treatment for his fiance. He doesn't want to die and lose her, so he decides to go through the painful treatment. This is how I want to feel for someone that I would do anything to be with them forever no matter how painful or ridiculous. Also this movie has a lot of sarcastic humor that I use a lot of. Unfortunately you can not see any scenes from this movie because non of them are appropriate for school
