Many people say shopping habits have changed a lot because of technology, and I agree. Over the last ten years — and especially since the pandemic — I’ve noticed myself and people around me buy things in very different ways. Before, you would go out to the market, try items, and talk to the shop owner; now most of us check our phones first, read reviews, and often buy with one click.

Using the third conditional: if shopping habits hadn’t changed so much, we wouldn’t have had the option to shop from home during lockdowns, and many people — including delivery drivers and online sellers — wouldn’t have had that income boost. Another example: if people hadn’t started trusting online payments, e-commerce wouldn’t have grown as fast.
