Before this catastrophic event happened, there was a group of scientists located in the north of this country, which worked with nuclear energy. This group was formed by seventeen scientists including Claudia Quiñones, Renata Aguirre and Marcos Castro.

They even tried to kill Dr. Quiñones. This made her, Dr. Castro and Dr. Aguirre gain courage to calm down and try handling the situation.   • Masks (for protection of the nuclear dust)
  • Anti-Nuclear pills: made for avoiding the absorption of nuclear substances. It’s composed by iodine and other components to saturate the body. 
  • First aid kit (in case of having an emergency that needs to be attended).
  • Drinking water bottles (to avoid dehydration).
  • Arms and ammo (in case of being attacked by enemies)
  • Walkie-talkies and long duration batteries (to be aware of what’s going on in the outside world and be in touch with each other)
  • Lantern (in case of a blackout) 
  • Water treatment pills (in case of running out of drinking water. They don’t get rid of the radiation, but they do of many other chemical materials)
  • A fire extinguisher (fires can be a consequence of machine explosions that need energy to run)

In spite of having dehydrated food, drinkable water was a need and had became hard to get it. Going outside was necessary. Blackouts were happening more frequently, which made it necessary for them to find a way of producing or generating energy. That’s when they decided to use radiation to their favor.
