While ICT is taught in 5th semester regarding the curriculum, I consider it should be taught earlier for the material and tools provided in classes are of capital use during the English studies. So far, a traditional method is mostly used at PBI, UMY, and few teachers adventure themselves to use technological resources, afraid of, maybe, jeopardizing their already tested and developed program. Therefore classes become uninteresting, less dynamic, and receptive: students are still passive receptors of information. By using applications and tech resources, the level of engagemnet and motivation coud vary and respond to current needs. What is the need and purpose, for instance, of delivering an assessment where an interview must be transcribed?? Isn't it a 21st century education? Fortunately, by using tech, students can find other solutions and alternatives, and release ourselves of extra and sometimes innecesary workload. Thanks for delivering a different class, in a friendly mood and with useful information of practical and inmediate use.

While this curriculum-related lesson was covered in semester 5 of the school year, I believe it has to be covered more thoroughly because the materials and tools available in the classroom are modal that may be used during English language instruction. As of right now, PBI, UMY, and only a few teachers who are genuinely using day-to-day technology to support their programs that have already been developed and implemented use traditional methods more frequently. Because of this, the class has become uninteresting and a little bit receptive, and the students have become the primary source of interesting information. Utilizing applications and modern technology, levels of motivation and skepticism can vary and meet current needs.
