There are several factors for the pay gap between WNBA and NBA players. Firstly, the NBA generates more revenue due to its global fan base and TV deals, providing more funds for player salaries. In contrast, the WNBA faces challenges with lower revenue, attendance, and TV ratings. Gender discrimination also plays a role, with societal biases undervaluing women's sports. To decrease this pay gap, the WNBA can work on increasing revenue and building a larger, more dedicated fan base, as well as negotiating sponsors and partners.
