During the flooding season, the farmers would work on tasks away from the field. When the flooding receded, the farmers were able to use the Nile's water for irrigation and farming. They also used the Nile as a highway. They were able to communicate using the Nile which ran through all of Egypt, and this unified them. They also used the Nile as a means for trading.

The Hittites Kingdom of Hittites was a kingdom that rivaled Egypt shortly after Akhenaton's death. At around 1600 BCE, Hittite kings began to conquer and obtain more land. Because of their southward expansion, they came into conflict with Egypt and both sides battled until a peace treaty in 1258 BCE.

Most men married one wife, but others had multiple and had similar rights to women, who had to obey their father and husband. Men and women were both able to own land, operate business, and testify in court.
4. The nile decided much of what the labor obligations looked like for the Egyptians back then, especially for farmers. During the flooding season, farmers worked on the pharaoh's building programs, but as the water receded, they diverted water for future irrigation and planted and harvested crops until the next flood season. Other labor obligations included forced labor as slaves and fighting in the Pharaoh's army after being drafted.
