This type of disease is a common form of dementia, and is associated with plaques and tangles in the brain. Alzheimer's causes progressive brain cell death over time. The most common symptoms of this disease include memory loss and confusion. Symptoms of Alzheimer's typically first begin to appear above the age 60. Unfortunately no cure exists, however there are medications and management strategies to help temporarily improve strategies. The symptoms of Alzheimer's worsen over time, although the rate of the progression does vary. Typically a person with this disease has about 4 to 8 years to live after diagnosis, but can in some cases live up to 20 years.

An aneurysm occurs when the wall of an artery weakens causes a bulge, which continues to increases in size until it eventually ruptures. This can cause internal bleeding and eventually death. An aneurysm can sometimes have no symptoms, but people may experience in abdomen, arm, back, leg, or can have a headache. Aneurysms can occur to anyone at anytime, however, it is typically more common in adults between the ages 30 and 60. The treatment can vary from watchful waiting to emergency surgery depending on the location, size, and condition of the aneurysm. Typically aneurysms go unnoticed until it ruptures or reaches it's limit. About 15% of patients die before reaching the hospital with an aneurysm.

This disease affects the neurons in the brain that control muscle movement, due to the loss of neurotransmitter producing cells. Parkinson's disease causes neurons to fire without control, leaving patients less able to control their movement. Symptoms include stiffness, trembling, and loss of balance. Typically adults above the age 50 will begin to experience symptoms of Parkinson's disease. To help treat Parkinson's disease patients will be given medication to help control the symptoms of the disease, however there is no cure. Typically after diagnosis, patients live between 10 to 20 years after but it varies for each person.
