Once when I was in fourth grade, I got very ill and my mom being a mom called 911. So they got to our house and asked me if I wanted to go in the ambulance or go with my parents. As a naive child I choose to go with my parents. When we got to the ER I didn't get treated as quickly as I could have because, I choose my parents and not the ambulance. In the end they gave me a pill that lowered my temperature and made me feel better.

A simple way to access health products and services is by calling 911 or going to the ER. But only if it is necessary. "There is a difference between urgent care and emergency care and what is best to seek treatment" (Accessing Health Products & Services 6). The ER is meant for absolute emergencies bu, it's not always used that way. "Time for the ER The emergency department was designed to provide fast, life-or-limb-saving care. Many people, however, use the ER as a place to receive urgent care without realizing it. If you’re ever in doubt, it’s better to be safe and go to the closest ER" (Accessing Health Products & Services 6).
