         <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>What is a game ?&nbsp;</strong></p><p><br></p><p>Games are a problem-solving interactive way of playing that contains goals, conflicts, wins and loses, challenges and must be interactive.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Mechanics:</p><p>These are the procedures of a game, the goals and how can we or can’t we not achieve them. It includes space, objects, attributes, states, actions, rules, skill, chance.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Story:<br>Is the events and its sequence that unfolds de history and the game. They are a series of pre-scripted emerging events.</p><p><br></p><p>Aesthetics: <br>This is the way the game looks, sounds, smells, tastes and feels. This one has a direct impact on the players and the experience. <br></p><p><br></p><p>Tecnology:</p><p>This are the elements or any material that gives interaction, such as paper and pencil, plastic chits or high-powered lasers. In this element is in which aesthetics takes place, in which mechanics take actions, and in which the story is unfolded.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Game mechanics:&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>·Space: The boundaries of the game and where it should be played.&nbsp;</p><p>·Objects, attributes, space: these are elements inside the game that provide informations, levels and knowledge.&nbsp;</p><p>·Actions: These are whether operative or resultants actions, they define the direction that the game takes.&nbsp;</p><p>·Rules: there are many kind like Operational, foundational, behavior, written, laws, official, advisory and house rules, but in summary these define how we should behave, act, respond, operate and play in the game.&nbsp;</p><p>·Skills: These are the abilities (physical, mental and social)</p><p>·Chance: These are the probabilities and the uncertainty on other mechanics.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>-Game balance:&nbsp;</p><p>Is composed by 12 elements:</p><p><br></p><p>·Fairness</p><p>·Challenge vs Success&nbsp;</p><p>·Meaning ful Choices&nbsp;</p><p>·Skill vs chance <br>·Head vs hands&nbsp;</p><p>·Competition vs. cooperation</p><p>·Short vs. long</p><p>·Rewards</p><p>·Punishment</p><p>·Freedom vs. controlled experience</p><p>·Simple vs. complex</p><p>·Detail vs. imagination<br></p><p>-Games psychology:</p><p>Interface For interaction : This is the “interaction” between players and the game. It also involves channels of information.</p><p>Interest curves: Is the psychology of the experience, with the peaks of the game and its exciting or of most interest parts.</p><p>Indirect control: You may have indirect directions like constraints, limited choices, main goals, provided characters to give clues, music for moods or actions, etc. <br></p><p>We also have some more content about games like : Iteration in Development, Teams and Documentation, Playtesting, Transformation and Responsibility, and Art of Game Design. This contains the choices of ideas, rules loops, team communication, documentation, questions to ask, games impact on its players, how games can games you a break from real live and affect your routine.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Additionally we have games for learning that are created to provide knowledge of a serious topic, commonly used for academic or professional purposes, aiming to enhance skills.&nbsp;</p>]]></description>
