What is the reason for naming the constraints in oracle? I have seen in others like MySQL that contraints are not named like unique_key_user, what purpose does naming serve in context of oracle?

In week 5 exercise 1, we created student_id column in uni_student table as varchar2(8), but then in exercise 4, we insert values student_id 215 instead of '215', but it doesn't give error. What is the thought process behind why it doesn't give us error?

I get an identifier exists error with CREATE TABLE even though I am using exactly the SQL from the slides. What does this mean?
