It would lead to a lack of genetic variation which means everyone would be prone to the same disease. It would lead to further inequality between rich and poor, because rich people will be able to afford genome editing those who cannot afford it will feel self-conscious and pressured. Genome editing will also lead to gene discrimination which will affect employment options which will again, further affect the divide between the rich and poor. The genome editing will affect worldwide competitions in a negative way as the playing field among many is now even.
