Polar bears live in regions around the Arctic Circle, such as Russia, Canada, and Greenland to name a few. They are excellent swimmers and can be found in water or land anywhere in the Arctic region. Polar bears prefer to say close to ice packs because seals typically reside in these areas. The Arctic usually drops to minus 29 degrees Fahrenheit in the winter.

A. As of right now, polar bears are threatened. They live in the Arctic Region and eat mainly seals. They reproduce like other mammals and mate in seal-hunting areas.
B. Polar bears are important to the marine environment and the lifestyle of the Arctic people.
C. Climate change due to humans are the number one threat to polar bears. Human contact, oil spills, and hunting are also threatening.
D. The World Wildlife Foundation is currently working to preserve the ice of the Arctic and are supporting projects in Alaska and Russia to prevent encounters between people and polar bears. WWF also monitors the polar bears population and condition at all times and are taking part in addressing climate change and industrial impacts.
E. I believe biotechnology would not help polar bears in the way that they need. Polar bears are impacted mostly by climate change and human activities. I do not think that we would be able to keep polar bears fundamentally the same and still make them able to survive in today's condition.
F. I don't think that it would be wise for polar bears to travel with us to Mars. They would not cope well with the environment there. Polar bears would be deprived of cold temperatures, the ocean, and their typical food source.
