Aristos Petrou (Ruby), and Scott Anthony Arceneaux jr (scrim) are cousins, they grew up in new Orleans they both had a rough life but stayed strong together, scrim got into drugs heavily in his teen years, the start to all of his problems was the day he had to watch his dad overdose infront of him, scrim was only 9 years old, scrim and ruby came from poverty deep poverty and they went through too much to throw away any slim talent they had, they made and produced there very first song called "shark attack" was released march 24th 2014 and there song didn't do too great, during there first 14-15 years of making music they were deeply addicted to heavy heavy drugs, scrim at a young young age would collect massive ammounts of drugs on his bike and wouldn't do it without protection, he would collect a lot of drugs to deal while ruby was working at his dads resturant at the time, and they lived in low income areas in new orleans and couldn't afford much, so scrim started to deal drugs while not in school and in school, and ruby would labor at his dads resturant in hopes of making it by with food and a place to stay. Suicideboys consider there selves the "rejects" for there whole lives almost there whole lives, over the years there drug addictions got really really bad leading to survived overdoses and attempted overdoses in attempts of suicide, some people consider there music "sad" and "depressing" but the reason why they started making music is for people to be able to listen and not feel alone in what there going through, and just be able to relate too, knowing someone else is going through the same things as you is a comforting feeling, after scrims dad overdosed infront of him he fell into a deep state of depression and as he got older it would only get worse because he started to realise the situation as he got into his teenage years, so scrim decided to start doing drugs and ruby followed him due to events that have also made him in the same pit, they would go onto doing drugs and start to make music, over the years they would gain a lot of recignition and fans and this is when they were both at peak addiction, not just soft drugs, but hardcore drugs, during 2020 they would get into an argument/fight while on massive ammounts of drugs and they would black out and wake up in the same room and they would still be in the argument, eventually they decided to make up and go to rehab and get help, they would later get out and start a sober path of there life for the first time in over 15 years, they would go on to make music, have concerts and these days they are now closer than ever and they go on to make music and now there releasing new albums and they are both in there thirties and scrim has a child, now they are both sober. or are they?...
