" This statement shows how Kenny thinks he is old enough to go on 'adventures' himself, he probably wanted to 'be the next Byron' in some sort of way, since he may want to act 'cool,' especially by disobeying adults. It is evident how he turns back, (to Joey and Byron) then decides that he's 'old enough' to go on adventures himself.
