The communist overthrew the czarist party and appealed to many other nations including the U.S. This lead to a scare in the U.S. and lead to the idea of isolationism to keep the communist party out of America because communism appealed to workforce and lower class citizens who could easily overthrow the government because of their size.

This lead the United State to isolate from other foreign countries since they were afraid of the start of communism and had a desire for normalcy.

During the war, the government wouldn't allow unions to strike because nothing could interfere with the war effort. When unions strike they do not support their troops because they don't make needed supplies. After the boston police strike ended, new officers were hired because everyone that went on a strike got fired.
