The opening hours are 10am-1pm and 4.30pm-10.30pm Saturday to Thursday (closed Friday).

There is the normal uniform and PE uniform which can both be bought here. You will need to know your child's year (if Pre-K or KG1) or their curriculum pathway (for KG2-Grade 5).

Creche - There is a paid creche facitility from 7.15am to 7.30 and after school until 4.30pm. They also run weekly supervision when we have admin weeks. This is charged termly.

For the first week of admin week, supervision from the creche is usually in the hotel.

A tourist sim card can be purchased at the airport, this can then be transferred to a resident phone contract once you have your emirates ID.

Etisalat: Visit stores in Al Hamra Mall or Manar Mall

DU: Visit the store in Manar Mall

Virgin: Visit the kiosk in Al Hamra or Manar- also available through the app and delivery.

You will have already submitted documents like passport copies and educational certificates. Once in the UAE, you will obtain a work permit (Emirates ID card) and undergo a residency process, including medical checks.

Once you have your emirates ID set up:

MOI UAE: MOI UAE provides smart services. 1. Traffic and Licensing (Vehicles Licensing, Driver Licensing, Traffic Fines and Plates Services).

UAE PASS: UAE PASS service allows using a mobile device as a secure form of identification.

There are many local salons as well as individuals who offer beauty services- if you are looking for any recommendations speak to a member of staff.

If you are moving to RAK from outside the UAE, it is recommended to bring cash with you. When you are paying for deposits for apartments etc sometimes cash is preferred, and you may be charged each time you use a non-uae bank card at an ATM.

Opening a bank account:

Typically, you'll need the following documents to open a bank account:

• Original passport with a valid residence visa.

• Emirates ID card (if applicable).

• Proof of income or employment, such as a salary certificate or employment contract.

You will be able to begin the set-up process once you arrive and once you have your emirates ID, your account will be confirmed, and a cheque book can be obtained.

It is very common to open a current account and credit card account in the UAE. I’m currently the Science and AI Lead at our school — a role I truly enjoy, as it combines curiosity, creativity, and just the right amount of controlled chaos (especially when robots are involved!).

My journey with RAK Academy began nine years ago at the Khuzam campus, where I served as an Arabic teacher and team lead. I hold a Master’s degree in Arabic Language and its Teaching Methods from Al Ain University, UAE. Over the past 16 years, I have had the privilege of teaching Arabic in schools across the UAE, and for the last seven years, I have taken on leadership roles within the Arabic department.

I am deeply passionate about creating a nurturing, supportive, and inspiring environment where every student feels valued, challenged, and empowered to reach their full potential.

I am also a proud mother of two curious children, aged 10 and 14, who inspire me every single day.

As we embark on this exciting new chapter together, I warmly welcome all new colleagues to the RAK Academy Al Rams community. I look forward to working closely with each of you to create an environment where learning is meaningful, enriching, and joyful for every student.
